PuppetConf 2017 is right around the corner and our partners at Puppet are promoting and celebrating diversity in the technology industry.  Puppet is bringing PuppetConf back to San Francisco, California from October 10-12, 2017. The conference will include 5 days of training, over 100 speakers, a Contributor Summit, certification testing, Partner Summit and more.

Puppet is hoping to get a diverse line-up of speakers and would love to include the BIT community in the conversation. All interested parties are encouraged to submit talk proposals before April 23 by starting here.

As in previous years, Puppet is offering free PuppetConf 2017 tickets for people from groups underrepresented in technology, including, but by no means limited to, people of color, women, LGBTQ people, and people of varying abilities. They are also offering travel sponsorships (including hotel rooms) to speakers and attendees whose organizations are unable to provide funds for travel expenses. Recipients will be selected based on interest in Puppet and related technologies. These tickets and travel sponsorships will help people who are excited about Puppet, but don’t have the means to attend.  You can apply for a ticket here.
